Marine RIs Side Event - 9th EuroGOOS Conference
As part of the 9th EuroGOOS Conference,
11 European Research Infrastructures in the Marine domain have gathered to organise a
Marine RIs side event
Wednesday 5 May, 15:00 - 17:00 CEST
The aim of this side event was to bring together scientists and officers from the various marine Research Infrastructures (RIs) and marine research communities across Europe, to discuss our future strategy under a collaborative plan within the landscape of the UN Decade of Ocean Science and the European Ocean Observing System (EOOS).
In line with the EOOS vision and the UN Decade of Ocean Science objectives, we discussed the next steps in the sharing of knowledge and expertise, strengthening cooperation on both field activities and new technologies and possibly integration of activities when relevant, creating robust interactive data interfaces, promoting joint activities on marine research and services, and raising public awareness on marine environmental issues.
