It was the third and final User workshop held under the auspices of the Euro-Argo preparatory phase project. The 2008 and 2009 workshops were held in Southampton, UK and Trieste, Italy. In 2011, Euro-Argo will move from a project towards a long-term European research infrastructure. This will allow Europe to improve, consolidate and sustain its contribution to the international Argo program. This will also strengthen the role of the European Argo user community.

This workshop was an opportunity to demonstrate the wide range of applications that have been developed within Europe and to share views on the long term organization and evolution of Euro-Argo including the interaction with its user community.
